The School Natural Resource & Environmental Management is one of the pioneer schools of University of Kabianga following its inception in the year 2007.

Since then, the school has had a steady growth in terms of student enrollment, staff base and curriculum establishment from a single programme (Bsc. Agroforestry and Rural Development) with six (6) students to four (4) undergraduate and three (3) postgraduate programmes, with over 200 students in 2015.
