AFA Visit to UoK

The Agriculture and Food Authority (AFA) team paid a visit to University of Kabianga on Tuesday 10th June, 2025. This was during the 1st South Rift Innovation week open day and career day set for 10th-12th June, 2025. AFA, in partnership with the School of Agriculture and Natural Resources initiated a tree planting exercise with UoK in which 10,000 seedlings were donated by AFA. The process of an MoU was also initiated during the visit with focus on student attachment and mentorship programmes.

Prof. Maurice Oduor (who represented the Vice-Chancellor Prof. Eric Koech) welcomed the AFA team. He was flanked by Prof. Peter Sirma, Dr. Ann Sitienei and Dr. Shadrack Mule. The AFA team included Lorreta Wanyonyi, Anthony Kaloki, Arnold Barasa and Anthony Rutto. They were also accompanied by Forester Racheal from Belgut.
